Frequently Asked Questions
Perhaps you would like to have more information before you come to see us. Here are some frequently asked questions that might assist you.
Question - What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is based on the premise that every organ and structure in the body is mapped on the feet and hands. Reflexology is a complementary therapy, which works on the feet to assist in restoring homeostatis to the whole person not just the prevailing symptoms.
Question - What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. Reiki is healing energy in its truest sense. Reiki healing harnesses the energy that surrounds us by channeling this life energy through the practitioner hands to you (the recipient) and it activates your body’s natural ability to heal itself. Reiki healing helps to treat the person as a whole – balancing the mind, body and spirit.
Question - I have more concerns, who do I email?
Please feel free to email catherine@creggantherapies.ie or mary@creggantherapies.ie with any concerns or questions.
Question - Can I have an appointment this week?
As we currently operate an appointment only service, appointments are given on availability.
Question - How often do I need to visit the clinic?
We like to establish the purpose for the treatment (i.e. reflexology, hopi ear candling etc.) and the severity of presenting condition with each individual client in order to assess their requirements. As a general rule for reflexology it is recommended that you would have a treatment once a week over a 4-5 week period. Progress can then be reviewed. Other treatments differ depending on severity of condition.
